How to use the Attendance Service CMS
Attendance Service Providers and In-School Attendance Service Providers
Required learning to gain access to the Attendance Service Case Management System
If you are an Attendance Service Provider (ASP) or if you have an In-School Provision contract (ISP), to gain access to the Attendance Service Case Management System (Attendance Service CMS) you must:
Get an Education Sector Login (ESL)
The Delegated Authoriser (DA) in your organisation will help you get an ESL and request access for you to the Attendance Service CMS.
Complete an online learning module
The online learning module explains the basic features of Attendance Service CMS and how to handle student data safely. Once the request to access the Attendance Service CMS is complete, you’ll receive an email with a link to the online learning module that shows you how to use the CMS. Follow the instructions in the email to log in to the Ministry’s Learning Management System using your ESL. To pass the online learning module, you need to answer a set number of questions correctly.
Learning for schools who submit Chronic Absence support requests
There is a useful online module that shows the process for submitting and tracking Chronic Absence support requests, found on training.education.govt.nz. Simply use your Education Sector Login (ESL) to login and look for Attendance Service programme tile on your homepage. Then select the Online Attendance Service for Schools module. Completing this online module is not mandatory.
