The Creatives in Schools programme is delivered by Ministry of Education, in partnership with Manatū Taonga Ministry for Culture and Heritage and Creative New Zealand. In the programme, professional artists and creative practitioners partner with schools and kura to share their specialist knowledge and creative practice with students and ākonga.

This funding is applied for by schools using the Creatives in schools online app.
Schools, kura, and creative(s) work together to plan a project and then submit a joint application. If your proposal is successful, schools and kura will work with the creative to deliver the creative experience for students and ākonga. The project must run for between 8 and 20 weeks.
