Pourato preview sessions (June 2025)
In June 2025, we held preview sessions for early learning service providers to see a demonstration of Pourato ahead of the launch. You can watch a video of the demonstration and see questions and answers from the sessions below.
I want to start with the Ministry's beautiful karakia Timatanga.
Ka Hikitia! Ka Hikitia! Hiki, Hikitia! Whakarewa ki runga rawa Herea kia kore e hoki whakamuri mai Poua atu Te Pūmanawa Māori He Mana Tikanga Me Te Uri o Māia Poipoia ngā mokopuna Ngā Rangatira mo āpōpō Ka tihei! Tihei mauriora!
We have a 48 people from around the motu this morning. Welcome everyone and thank you so much for putting some time aside to come along and find out about Pourato, which we hope you will find to be a very useful tool. My name's Steven Billing. I'm part of the team that's been planning and preparing for the launch of Pourato. And joining us today we have Sarah Strong, who's the manager of the ECE resourcing team here at the ministry. The team that processes all the funding.
And Sloany Campbell, who is on our design team for Pourato. Kia ora Sarah, kia ora Sloany. And behind the scenes, we've got a team of experts who will be answering questions.
So welcome one and all.
Thanks very much to those who responded to our little poll at the start, telling us what was on your mind.
How to use Pourato and how to get access so will definitely be making sure that we that we cover those.
Our purpose today is to show you around Pourato and our focus is making sure that you've got all the information you need to be able to access information about your July funding and the payments.
Sarah will talk about ECE funding, a little bit of context for the information it is shown in Pourato and Sloany will walk us through Pourato, show us the kind of information that you'll be able to find in the.
We'll take questions throughout and at the end as well.
If you do have questions about the funding review that was announced a couple of days ago or the regulatory review, we won't be able to address those in this forum, but we will let you know where you can send questions about those things. But today, we're going to be concentrating on Pourato and the information that you can find in there, that you will be able to find in there.
We are welcoming of your questions and we'll answer them all now. Unfortunately, we can't have an open mic at the session just because of the number of people that we have got here. And I see that it's increasing. We've got 60 now.
So please ask your questions or make your comments by entering them in the Q&A function. There's a special function that Microsoft Teams has for webinar, which is what we're using, so it's not the chat button, it's up on the ribbon next to the chat button and you can see on the screen we've highlighted where that is. So please ask questions or make your comments by entering them into that Q&A.
And you and now there's one little peculiarity of it, which is that it doesn't update as new questions come in. So you might have to press that or you will have to press that Q&A button twice just to refresh and get the latest questions and answers coming in there.
Now the session isn't the only opportunity that you have to learn about Pourato. Obviously it's coming in at the end of this month and this is a preview that will give you a bit of an idea of what's going to be in there, but we'll also have we'll talk later in the session about the online drop in sessions that we have in July where you'll be able to ask questions and then all the other user guidance material that we've got to help you as well.
So what is Pourato? It's the ministry's new online funding system for early learning services, and it will let you quickly and easily find your detailed funding information for your services. Now it is going to replace most of the funding notices that you've been getting on the Secure Data Portal.
Now you will be able to see your July funding and Pourato and on the 30th of June, the person who is your funding content will get an e-mail from Pourato and that will have their access link and all the guidance on how to log in. It's pretty easy you use your existing education set to log in and there's no change to the way that you submit your child data or RS7 returns.
Now, while we've been building Pourato, we have been talking with early learning providers through various channels that the ministry has and we've had some useful feedback which we've incorporated along the way. So we hope that you'll see Pourato is an improvement on the previous funding information that you've had and that Pourato will make it easy to view and understand what your payment position is and funding position. So we hope that's going to be good for your budgeting and planning.
Now I'd like to invite Sarah to provide some ministry context for Pourato and ECE funding. Kia ora Sarah.
Thanks, Stephen. Kia ora everyone. My name's Sarah Strong. I manage the ECE Resourcing team, we're a small team of 12. We process more than $3 billion in funding to more than 4400 services nationwide. And as you're probably all aware, we're currently processing the returns for the July funding period.
We manage a range of funding types. The ECE subsidy, 20 hours ECE, equity funding, targeted funding for disadvantage, annual top up for isolated services or Atis, Waha Rumaki and the Pacific Immersion teacher allowance. There are three major payments per year.
As you'll be aware, when you submit your RS7 return, it's a request for advance funding as well as wash up of the preceding four months.
The diagram on screen shows each funding period, the months covered in wash up and those advanced, as well as our gap month.
While there are 3 major payments, we actually make a total of 15 payments per year.
The ECE funding handbook is our guide and it's your go to reference as well. We'll drop a link to the ECE Funding handbook in the Q&A. You may wish to bookmark it for easy access. We continue to update the funding handbook regularly, so please do consult it.
From the 1st of July there are several updates coming to reflect that rates in Pourato do not include GST.
As you can see on the slide, our previous system showed you the total amount, the total payment amount and indicated this included GST. In Pourato, you'll be able to see the GST exclusive amount, the GST and the GST inclusive amount. This reflects standard business and accounting practise and gives you much richer information. The key point is if you are GST registered, there will be no difference for you. As you can see from the example on the slide, your total
payment amount remains the same.
With the move to GST exclusive rates, we have changed some of the thresholds and particular ATIS, targeted funding, and income thresholds for submitting financial declarations.
We covered this in the Bulletin earlier this month and the changes are already reflected in the ECE Funding Handbook.
Pourato doesn't change the way you submit information and returns to us through your SMS, your student management system, or Eli Web. What's different is that you'll be able to see more detail and to choose what you want to see.
My team has been using Pourato for the past few weeks and we're finding the system is easy to navigate and we hope that you're going to find it easy too.
You'll also be able to see more detail and we hope you'll find value in that.
It's great to see so many people on the call today and we appreciate your interest in our new funding system.
Thank you to everyone who got the return in on time. We are processing the requests now and you'll be able to see that funding in Pourato at the end of June.
I'll now hand back to Stephen.
Thanks. And we have got more and more people joining. So if you have just joined us in the last couple of minutes, we are welcoming your questions. To ask a question, please type it into the Q&A which is up on the ribbon next to the chat button. We're not using the normal chat, so you type it into the Q&A - a question or comment.
Because of the number of people, we don't have microphones and videos enabled, cameras enabled, but we will be posting the slides and the video of this demo, we'll be posting it up next week.
OK, so let's get into having a look at Pourato. Sloany, are you ready to show us?
Yes.
Thank you Stephen. Kia ora everyone. First up is your access and login. As Stephen mentioned, for funding contacts to access Pourato, follow the instructions that will be sent to you in an e-mail on Monday the 30th of June or if you misplace the e-mail, you'll be able to use your education sector log on to access Pourato from the Pourato for early learning applications page. That's what's being shown on screen and a link to it should be going into the Q&A chat now.
So I'm just going to share my screen.
So just a note before we start that all the names, information, funding, etcetera you'll see in this preview are not real services. The data has been set up specifically for these sessions. I'll be previewing each screen systematically to make sure you get a good overview. All users will have the same viewing experience in Pourato. So it doesn't matter if you are an Ed & Care, home-based network, a kindergarten, a play centre, etcetera. This session is relevant for you. And I'll highlight differences on the screens.
And also please note any questions you have as we go as I'll be pausing between sections.
Right, so here we have the education sector logon screen and I'm going to log in as the fictional Aroha Reid. Who is the funding contact for our Pourato provider.
So this is your welcome to Pourato landing page. On the top left here we have the home icon and you can click this on any screen to return here.
We have the Finder service functionality, so if you're a provider with a large number of services, you might be particularly interested in the search for a service functionality. You can search by the service name or number or part thereof if you want to fast track directly to a specific service.
The question mark icon they'd all link you back to the Pourato for early Learning Applications page and you'll find lots of useful information in there.
Then we have to profile icon. This is where you can actually switch language or log out. So Pourato for early learning is available in English and Te Reo Māori.
Just a note as well, some of the information put out all displays comes from other Ministry systems and this isn't always translated. For example, your service's name, address and organisation type.
As in the dark blue header, you'll find your provider name and number, and then there are three tabs - Provider details, requests, and funding. These are your key screens that we'll be looking at in more detail.
I'm just going to scroll down to the bottom and we have this orange banner so this links back to the Pourato applications page, the early learning forms and the funding handbook.
And the e-mail and phone contact details, if you have any queries about the information published for you in Pourato. This banner is at the bottom of all of your screens, so it's easily accessible no matter where you are in Pourato, you just scroll down to the bottom and it will be there.
If you contact the Ministry using one of these channels on the orange banner, the team member who takes your query will be able to see the same information that you can see, so they'll be in a great position to help you navigate Pourato and find or interpret the information in here.
So just going to scroll up a bit.
So we're on the provider details tab and there's two sub tabs. There's a provider profile and the service list. So the provider profile displays your business and funding contact information the Ministry holds about you as a service provider.
So we can see the business details and then the funding contact details.
Jump across to the service list. This displays the list of services currently associated with you as s provider and it includes open and any closed services. You also have the ability to change the status, order direction by clicking on this arrow.
Now this blue icon it's a view icon. You can click it to navigate to more detailed information about each service and we'll be looking at that shortly. So we can see for these examples that we have the service provider has full services.
And you can see the service name, ID number and type.
And you can see in here that the there's three education and cares and one home-based network under this provider.
That brings us to the end of what you'll see on the provider details tab.
Kia ora Sloany. Thanks for that. So it's the education sector login to get into Pourato as Sloany showed at the start. And just to remind everyone about the Q&A function that we're using for questions. We would love your questions. We've got a team of experts here just waiting to devour and lap up your questions because we all want to make sure that we provide really great information to enable you to use Pourato and get the most out of it. And there is the need to refresh. So hit the Q&A button
twice just to get the latest question showing up in your Q&A.
Alright, it's Sloany we're ready to continue and look at the provider and request.
Absolutely. So we're going to click into the second tab, so the screen will display all of the funding related requests
received for your service or services from the July 2025 funding period onwards. So previous historical requests and funding information will not display in Pourato.
Currently, whether you're using Eli Web or a student management system, you submit your RS7 and send it off with the assumption that it's reached the Ministry. In Pourato, you'll be able to log in and see your received RS7. You'll also get an e-mail notification that your RS7 has been received. So for providers with multiple services, in order to avoid spamming you, rather than receiving an e-mail for each RS7 request received, you'll receive one e-mail listing all of your RS7s received for that day.
Any other funding requests that you submit to the Ministry, such as an RS3 and EC20 and EC20a will also display here once they've been entered into Pourato by the relevant team member.
So, by default, your received requests will display on this list with the most recent at the top.
So when you log in for the first time, you might look at the screen and wonder why your requests aren't showing. That's because your RS7s for the July payment will already be processed and therefore be hidden by default.
So you can imagine that this list will become quite lengthy as time goes on. All you need to do is unhide the completed request toggle.
And we will be looking at a process request shortly.
So on this screen, you're going to be able to search for requests using the service name, number, or part thereof, and you're going to be able to filter for a specific funding period, specific request types, by exceptions, and then we also have status bubbles. So this is another form of filtering you'll be able to click on one of these, and it will dynamically reduce the list below to only show those requests in that bubble status.
Now we have exceptions.
Previously known as errors on your funding notice, these let you see at a glance which requests have had adjustments from what has been claimed to what has been funded, and we will be talking about that a little bit later.
Looking at the columns, we also have the service. We have the region. Now these regions, they are the Ministry regions, so they may differ slightly to what you'd expect to see geographically and we can have the request types. Each request has a unique ID number. We can see the funding period and then we can see the status. So we had that top one of received and now we can see the processed and the superseded.
Now superseded.
If you submit a request and then resubmit it, you will see the initial one with the status of superseded. The one directly above this one is for the same service, so we can see it's for Ōtaki, it's for the same funding period and was received after the first one and therefore has been processed.
And that wraps up the provider request tab. We'll be moving on to the provider funding tab shortly.
Thanks so much Sloany. So there's some good smarts in there around those superseded, making sure that the latest return is used to do the calculations. Love it.
Sarah, I've got a question for you. Sloany mentioned that Pourato will send notifications. Who will receive those notifications?
Thanks Stephen. The person listed as your funding contact will get the e-mail notifications from Pourato. The funding contact is an important role as this person has access to all of the funding information for your provider. That's why when someone contacts us, we check that this is who we're speaking with, to safeguard your funding information.
Okay, thanks. Thanks very much, Sarah. Appreciate that.
Well, Sloany we're ready to carry on and see the rest of the provider section.
Sure. We're going to have a look at funding now. So the funding tab is made-up of two sub tabs. We have payments and overview. So with payments you have the find functionality and you also can search by a date range.
We can see the different columns here, so we have bank reference, ID number, the funding period and then we have the status. So you'll see in here that we have a pending and a paid status. The pending status, that payment information becomes visible two to three working days before the payment is made. Pourato will update the payment with an additional paid status line and that's when the bank reference ID will populate, once we receive that information back from your bank.
As Sarah touched on and her introduction, Pourato payment information will show the GST exclusive, the GST component and the GST inclusive amount.
And then we have the Download file which is a CSV file.
This will be new to a lot of people. This basically is a file that contains all of the relevant data that makes up the payment to the service provider. You can download it if you wish, for example into Excel if you want to keep a copy for your accounting system, budget or planning.
Then we're going to come across to the overview.
So this is the service level detail and breakdown of what's in the payment. So it defaults to the current funding period. You can see other periods in the year in the drop down. So I can see March, but when I go to March, it's showing no records found. I'll just jump back to July. That's because March period was from before Pourato goes live. So you'll be able to see the funding information from the July period.
So when funding for the period is updated and published, you'll receive an e-mail notification to prompt you to log into Pourato to view the details.
As I mentioned before, everyone gets the same viewing experience, so you will see all the column headers. If it's not relevant for you, the corresponding rows will have dashes as we can see here. If we take a closer look at those columns, we've got the service, we can see if they're GST registered or not. If they're not, they'd be a red cross. If they're on monthly funding. If there's an opening balance which is carried over from the previous period. We have the washup amounts for each service
and then this dark blue line is the total amounts, the advanced funding, equity funding, ATIS. If an audit has been conducted in a prior period, adjustments, any extra funding and that is where you would see the likes of the targeted funding. And then we have the funding amounts. So we have the GST component and the GST inclusive. And if there's a remaining balance then that would be carried forward to the new funding period.
We also have the blue view icon over here, so that's an indication for you, that that means you can click into this and go directly into the service. There's going to be lots of options actually for how you navigate the system. There's lots of search functionality at the top here or clicking directly into them.
When you're in the system, you'll work out which way is going to work best for you.
But that brings us to the end of the provider section and we will move on to the service level shortly.
Thank you so much Sloany and you did answer a question that we had which was
currently, people have to click from one service to another and the Overview tab shows all the services, doesn't it, lined up so you don't have to click out from one to another.
Thank you for that. And thanks very much to people who are submitting questions in the Q&A. We really appreciate it. We've got a hungry group of people keen to answer your questions. So thanks very much for that. Sarah, we have a couple for you. One is in relation to the Secure Data portal; will people still need access to the Secure data portal?
Yes, that's still going to need access to the Secure data portal. In Pourato, you're going to be able to see the targeted funding Waha Rumaki or PITA payment amounts under the extra funding that Sloany just showed you in that column, if those payments apply to you. However, the targeted funding for disadvantage eligibility letters or the teacher allowance allocation details because that's a breakdown of teacher information, they are going to be in the Secure data portal still.
You'll receive the notification that you would normally do when something is loaded to the secure data portal for one of your services. So yes, there is still going be information that you'll have to get from the secure data portal.
Hey, thanks, so those notifications are going to continue.
Yes.
Yeah. Great. So we've had a question about being able to provide information to others, for example, to a student management system or potentially to an accountant or treasurer or other or other party. Is that going to be able to happen?
Yes, you can download the CSV file. You can save it into Excel or what format you like and then you'll be able to send that to other people such as your accountant or perhaps your external auditors or someone like that.
You can also request Pourato access for your accountant and we are going to be rolling out the ability to provide other users access and the funding content will need to approve those requests.
Right.
There is also the ability to print. All screens in Pourato can be saved as a PDF or physically printed if you wish to do so using your browser's print function by using control P on your keyboard or your right click of your mouse. So there's a few options there to get the information out to be able to distribute to others or save into your own folders.
Alright, thank you so much. That's good news.
Thanks, Sarah. Sloany, we're ready to continue with service details.
Sure. So to navigate, I'm actually just going to come back to the provider details and go to my service list and I want to take a closer look at Cambridge. So I'm actually just going to click directly into it.
Again, you can still search for a service at the top. Here the blue header looks the same, but there's an addition, so we've got the service name, number, type, but then we've got an additional one here, which is the provider. So there's the little icon here, which means that if you click on this, it's going to take you back to that provider level.
Our service details we have two sub tabs, service profile and licence details. So the service profile, that's where you'll find the information the Ministry holds about your service so we can see the operating details there the NZBN number, ownership type, GST registration number, region, if they're funded, equity funding, language, equity index, isolation index, if they're on monthly funding or on notional role and you'll actually see that there's effective from dates in here as well.
So we can see these are from the 1st of January 2025.
We're going to come across and look at the licence details.
So in Pourato, you can easily see the service's current licence details. We can see for this service that they're on a full licence and that was in effect from the 1st of January as well.
We have every day of the week showing up even though we can see that they're not operating on Saturdays and Sundays. That's part of everyone having the same viewing experience. So we can see that it's been greyed out and has does not operate for these days.
taking a look on Monday, we can see that they're funded for six hours a day, but operating for 10 and the open from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. They're an all-day teacher-led service with 30 child places of which five are for under twos. You'll note that these green ones, these are for all day services and if you have a sessional service then these will show as blue.
Further down, we have the funding rate history. So this is basically just giving you that history of any rate changes. So we can see in here that we've got a rate description and then an effective-from date as well.
And next up will be requests a service level.
Thank you so much, Sloany. Really appreciate that. We're tracking to time. So we have got time for questions. Keep putting those questions in the Q&A. And Sarah, we do have one for you that's come up, which is how long is the information available for?
Thanks, Stephen. Information will be available in Pourato from the July 2025 funding period onwards and will remain available as long as you have access to that service within your service provider. Previous and historical requests and funding information will not display and Pourato. So if there's anything from the last six months, you'll still need to get that from the secure data portal or if it's earlier than that, you'll need to contact the ECE Resourcing team. But the information from July 25 onwards remains in Pourato, ongoing.
Great. So if people want to get information from previous funding periods, they can either download it for the last six months from the Secure Data portal, or they can contact your team.
That's correct. Yep.
OK, beautiful. And Pourato was going to have everything from the 1st of July onwards and it doesn't have that six-month expiry on it.
No, it doesn't. It's a great improvement.
Very nice. Thank you very much.
Sloany, ready to carry on to the request tab.
Sure. So here we are. We're on the request tab. So this is a service specific version of the provider request tab. So you have the same search filter and default display functionality. It shows the request for each specific service and you'll be able to see the details independently from each other here. So we're going to unhide the completed request toggle.
And we can say we've got an RS7 sitting in here. So I'm just going to click into it.
And we have two sub tabs so there is the request and the original. The original, it's a snapshot of what has been submitted, whereas the request contains the process data. First, we are going be looking at the original.
So you can select the original tab to view what you submitted.
We'll come through here. I'm going to open up February. There are little accordions. You just click on them and they open up.
So here
you can view the funded child hours and the staff hours summary tables.
Together with the advanced days claimed annual attestation step, and remember the display is the same for all service types, so we've got every day of the month showing. We know for the service that they're not operating on Saturdays and Sundays. We can still see Saturdays and Sundays, but they've just got zero in there. We've got the funding components under twos, 2 and overs, 20 hours plus 10 and then certificated teachers and others for the staff hour account. So we just scroll down.
You can see a lot of data is populated in there but for the days that they're actually operating.
And then we come down and we've got the claimed child hours summary. So we can see the months, from February through to May. The dark blue rows are the calculation totals and then we've got the different funding components in here.
Then you have the claimed staff hour count summary. Again, you've got the months and the funding period. You've got the totals and then you've got the data that's been inputted.
Then we come down to the claimed advanced days so we can see July, August, September and October. Again, we know this is an all-day service so we can see data's being populated for that, but they can still see sessional and parent led. But as we expect, there's just zeros in there because we know it's an all-day service.
And the attestation of certificated teachers as well. So if you don't need to attest then you will still see this, but it will just be greyed out with no information in there.
So once the funding related to these requests is approved and ready to go, the request tab will be populated and the status will update to processed. So let's just come and take a look at this so we can see that we've got a processed ribbon and you'll be able to see it a couple of days before the payment date.
The request is the original request with an additional funded column to compare what was claimed with what was funded.
Now a process request will display any exceptions. That replaces the error line you used to see on the PDFs. An exception describes the difference between what has been claimed and what has been funded, and you'll be able to see the reason for any differences yourself. Exceptions are also viewable in the first columns on the service request queue and the provider request queue.
So any differences between claimed and funded amounts are highlighted in red, so we can see these exceptions. It's letting us know that there was one for October for advanced days and then February has two exceptions, one for the 20 hours ECE and one for the under twos. So I'm just going to open up February again.
And we can see here that there's the additional funded column. It's also highlighting for us as well where those differences have occurred. So we can see that it's on Tuesday the 4th and that was for both. So it was the under two and also for the 20 hours, you can see that there's a difference in what was claimed versus what was funded.
Everything else, it matches up. That's why it's everything is showing as grey. So if you have any differences, you will just be able to see with the red highlighting.
When we come down to the bottom, we saw that there was one for the advanced days as well, and then we can see the difference between what was claimed and what was funded.
So this calculation it's based on operating and licence information the Ministry holds regarding the service and as we touched on before, the service profile and licence detail screens provide you with the visibility of that information.
If I just scroll up a bit.
And you'll also be able to see temporary closures, including emergency closures, on the far right hand side.
And next up is the service funding tab.
Thank you so much Sloany. I think that's going to make it easy to see the difference between what was claimed and what was funded, if there is, and in those situations where there is a difference. Just look for the red, for the red squares.
Sarah returning to that request screen, we showed some RS7s there. Does it only show RS7s or does it show other application types as well?
It's going to show other application types as well, so it is the RS7 which is the main one, but it will also show your RS3, so that's the form when you're a new service for your first funding, the EC20 and the EC20A will also show in there. The only request that you won't see as the RS2 which is generally change of bank account or GST numbers or information like that because we don't enter those into Pourato, we'll deal directly with our finance team to process those.
But all the other requests you'll be able to see in Pourato.
Thank you, thanks very much. We're just over halfway through. I want to get some feedback from people because we're hoping that you're starting to get a sense of the information in Pourato and how you can drill down to it. So could you give us a thumbs up, if you like what you see so far? So thumbs up is next to the, it's under react next to the raise hand. So don't raise your hand by accident, but if you like what you see a thumbs up would be great. And then into the chat.
What do you think is going to be the most useful feature for your services out of what you've seen so far? Can you put a comment into the Q&A? Sorry, into the Q&A.
What is the most useful feature that you've seen so far? What are your services going to find the most valuable? We're really keen to know what you think is going to be valuable and how you think that you're going to use Pourato.
So thanks for that. We look forward to seeing some comments in there.
So Sloany, ready to carry on with the overview, the funding overview?
Sure. Yep. So we're in the funding tab and we've got the two sub tabs, the funding overview and the payment summary. So the overview, this provides a detailed breakdown of how each funding component is calculated for the period together with the related funding requests. You'll be able to search for a specific funding period and we can see we're in the right one. We've got July there. You'll be able to search by request and then we've got the wash up funding and advance funding.
I'm just touching on, as well, I know what Sarah I mentioned before about the extra funding. So if there is, say, targeted funding, Waha Rumaki, Pacific immersion teacher allowance, you will see another little accordion down here that says extra funding and then you'll just be able to click on it and expand it and that will show you the details of those payments and that line. For this example we're just showing the wash up funding and advance funding.
So, we have the wash up funding. Again, we've got every month we can see in there. So we've got the funded child hours for advanced funding with the amount, the actual funding with the funded child hours and then the wash up as well. So you can see we've got it for February, March, April and May. And I'm just going to expand this little accordion.
And this means you can drill right down into the details so we can actually see not only the month, but we can see the funding components within that month. So we've got the funded child hours, we can see the percentage that they've been advance funded and we can see the rates. You might notice something a bit unusual about the funding rates. Due to the transition from GST inclusive to GST exclusive rates, to ensure the funding amounts are calculated correctly, we've had to use and we're displaying these to you, rounding to six decimal places.
This ensures the most accurate calculation of funding. Any future rate changes will be back to two decimal places.
You can also click on the rates as well and it's going to bring up this little addition which is letting you know the band that it's associated with. So for this one, we can see it's the 80 to 99% all day Ed and Care parity funding rate.
And then we can have a look at the advanced funding.
Again, we can see each month and the advanced period. I'm going to open up July and you can see the funding components there with the amount of advanced days, the percentage advance, the funded child hours, the rate and the monetary values associated. Then right down the bottom here we have the total funding, which is the GST exclusive amount.
Now I'm going to come back up the top, and we're going to take a look at the payment summary.
So this is basically a balance sheet for each funding period. It will display any opening balance from the previous funding period together with the funding amounts, the payment amounts and any remaining balance for the period which will carry over to the next funding period.
This bank reference number that populates will be the same as the one displayed on the provider payment screen.
And I'm just going to expand this little accordion on the operational funding.
And again.
We can drill right down. We've got the wash up funding into the month into the funding component level.
So this provides the same details as the service funding overview, but it's a snapshot of when the corresponding funding has been paid. So this will be useful when or if there's funding adjustments that are required after a payment has already been made. And you can also view the specific related requests by clicking on this little drop down here.
Thank you so much, Sloany. One of our participants has commented that this information will be useful for reconciliation. So really happy to hear that. Thanks everyone for your comments in the Q&A. Really appreciate hearing what you'll find...
what you expect to find most useful, like being able to drill down and having more than one person have access, and the GST splits and having that CSV file available without having to request it. So really appreciate you telling us that. Thank you. Thanks so much.
Sloany, would you like to continue?
Yeah, just before I finish up, I just wanted to mention a couple of things. Pourato, it's a live readily accessible self-service system. While you have at least one open service you can log in when it suits you and the information remains available in the system. So there's no more having to retrieve funding notices from the Secure Data portal within six months or you lose it.
Now printing, you don't need to print out the information in Pourato. However, if you wish to print the screens, as Sarah touched on, you can use control P, the web browser print to PDF functionality.
It can feel like there's a lot to take in, but in a nutshell, it's pretty simple. There's two parts. There's the provider level with three tabs and the service level with three tabs.
And finally, I just want to reiterate that your Pourato access as read only. You cannot break anything. So please when you get your access, log in, have a play, familiarise yourself with the system. It's going to make more sense when you're looking at your own information. And that's it from me, back to you Stephen.
OH, thank you. It's such a relief to know that I won't be able to break it.
Thank you very much indeed, Sloany. Now this is our last call for questions. for the Q&A. We finished the demo, our brief walkthrough. So if you do have any final questions, please get them into the Q&A and we'll get them answered while we wrap up.
We are, in a moment, just going to put up a brief poll to check in with you on how confident you feel about being ready for Pourato. We appreciate that this is just a demo, a little bit ahead of the time, and that you'll learn more and you'll find out more as you actually are looking at your own information and your own data in there. And that's why we're going to have the drop-in sessions in the first two weeks of July.
And um
But before that, on the 30th of well on the 26th of June, you'll get an automated e-mail from Pourato. You won't need to take any action on that one, because watch out for the e-mail on the 30th of June. So that's where funding contacts will get their access link to Pourato and all of the information that you need. Now, on the 30th, we're going to be phasing the sending out of those emails so that we don't crash anything but expect all emails to be sent by 2:00.
Now, if you don't get that e-mail by 2:00 do have a look in your spam or your junk folder because we have found that some emails sometimes go there.
Your e-mail will include not only your access link, but guidance on how to get into Pourato the first time and then it will also have our visual guide which is a guide with screenshots and annotations showing you how to navigate around Pourato and a lot of other support materials as well. So all those links will be in there. It will also include links to those drop-in sessions. Now the drop-in session is some sessions each day where our Pourato experts will be online.
You'll just be able to click on the link in your e-mail, in your access e-mail from the 30th of June, click on the link there and go straight in and you'll be able to talk about any aspects of your funding that you want to ask. Any questions we'll be able to clarify anything. We'll be able to help you to interpret the information that's in there. Now that's in addition to being able to contact the Ministry by the usual phone or e-mail channels.
You will be able to request access for additional users once Pourato is live, so we would suggest that you go and have a good look around first, familiarise yourself with it and then you'll know who you want to request access for, who the other people are, and it's pretty easy. There's a form that you fill in, you sign it as the funding contact and the link to that form will be in our e-mail on the 30th of June as well. So it really is one e-mail to rule them all, that one on the 30th.
For those of you who have already submitted an RS7, you should have had an e-mail from Pourato acknowledging that we've received it. If you didn't receive that, do check your spam or your junk folder.
Well, thank you very much indeed to everyone who came along today. We hope the session's given you a good insight about what you can expect when Pourato goes live on the 30th of June. If you have found this helpful, could you give us a thumbs up, that's react next to the raised hand?
We do hope you have found it useful. Thanks so much for your questions. We've really appreciated all your questions coming in. Thank you, Sloany and Sarah for today and thank you to the team behind the scenes for answering the questions and also all the organisation that's gone into the making the workshop happen.
We are collating all of the questions and answers we've received and will be posting this up on the website so that you can refer back to them and we will be dropping a link to that website into the Q&A about now. We also will be posting up a recording of a session and you'll have the user guidance that we talked about before.
And as we finish, let's have a look at the poll results. So thanks for filling it in for telling us that people are feeling pretty confident about using Pourato. 4.2 out of five average for the group. So thank you very much for that. So keep an eye out 30th of June for your access e-mail.
And if you prefer to e-mail or call, there's the details on the screen.
Let's finish with the Ministry's karakia Whakamutanga.
Kua hikitia te kaupapa Kua takoto te wero Me hoe tahi i runga i te whakaaro kotahi Tiaki tō tāua oranga Kia kaha ai mo te tuku taonga Kia tutuki ngā hiahia mō Ka Hikitia Tihei mauriora! Ki te whai ao! Ki te whai oranga e!
