SDP - How to download files
Introduction
The Secure Data Portal is an application using the Education Sector Logon (ESL) authentication.
Use the Portal to:
- send a file to the Ministry quickly and securely
- download your staffing and funding notices from the Ministry quickly and securely.
Before you begin
This guide assumes you already have an ESL login and have logged in to the SDP portal.

The Download Page
Select Download from the Menu on the top left to open the download page:
The Download page shows all the files that are currently available for download for that school.
Please note that Expiry denotes the date when files will be removed from the Secure Data Portal, meaning they will no longer be available to download. Most files will be available for download for 6 months. Please ensure you are downloading and storing all files on your own system.
Download the files
Click on the blue “download” link to the right of the relevant file in the list to download it. Once the download is complete the file will be saved in the download directory that is configured for your browser.
